The study investigates the factors influencing waste system change in island of Bornholm, Denmark. uses ISWM (Integrated Sustainable Waste Management) framework as its main theoretical foundation. research was carried out using a large-scale (3 % population island), representative, quantitative survey with questions informed by framework, including circular economy perspectives. To analyze expectations hypotheses data run through Z-test. unveils that high baseline level awareness about environmental issues is one key change. Furthermore, interests local (i.e. island) angle are preferred, where consideration for solutions directly benefit preferred over based on mainland activities. There an acceptance increased costs when changes implemented but cost rises, decreases.

Energy production technologies have become closer to people's everyday life. Therefore, its social acceptability and scale of spread play a significant role in moving towards climate-neutral society.A growing body academic literature shows that aspects are becoming more central the transition process. The study's novelty derives from conceptual framework for analyzing possible challenges empirical data contributes thorough understanding direction practical opportunities identified by experts. This article explores expert opinions Lithuanian readiness transit sustainable energy applicability Waste (WtE) further development Lithuania. The discussed three dimensions (socio-political, communal market). The paper is based on qualitative research conducted at end 2021 beginning 2022.Among other discoveries, study revealed majority experts tend support WtE input sector but indicated some better public awareness, as well justified transparent mechanism implementation (to correspond with interest), needed.

Increasing the share of renewable energy sources (RESs) in mix countries is one main objectives transition national economies, which must be established on circular economy principles. In natural gas storage geological structures (UGSs), stored a reservoir at high pressure. During withdrawal cycle, pressurised irreversibly lost reduction station chokes. At same time, there huge amount produced water, waste and requires for underground disposal. The manuscript explores harnessing exergy conventional UGS process to generate electricity produce hydrogen via electrolysis using reservoir-produced water. Such model, utilises sustainable within framework, optimal approach achieve clean transition. Using an innovative integrated mathematical model based real production data, study evaluated application turboexpander (TE) generation during single cycle. simulation results showed potential 70 tonnes per cycle utilising 700 m3 field analysis that was sensitive flow changes through pressure station, underscoring need optimisation maximise production. Furthermore, paper considered categorisation this as “green” it from gas, carbon-free process.
