Natural gas hydrate is an alternative potential energy source that contributes to depressurizing the pressure of supply and environmental pollution in future. Field production has a close association with geological risks. In this regard, accurate estimation strength deformation properties crucial risk prevention control during development. However, geomechanical hydratebearing sediments their applications remain unclear. Herein, work provides comprehensive summary studies on mechanical characteristics hydrate-bearing field trials.
