Community renewable energy is gaining popularity globally, and private investment in photovoltaic considered a promising path toward transition. This study attempts to explore which attributes are more attractive for the public invest community photovoltaics, especially context of increasing photovoltaics China. Based on conjoint experiment with urban rural residents (N = 973), this finds that values (economic, environmental, social) generated by project project's important factors decisions. The results confirm previous findings literature, particularly positive effect economic value increased local employment citizen investment. In addition, government regulation plays most critical role facilitating can contribute effective diffusion, transcending as single consumer achieving substantial participation co-creation.

Environmental problems due to climate change, that have been affecting our planet for years, are the main issues which prompted European Union establish ambitious target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. This occurrence encouraged all Member States undergo significant changes their energy sectors, favouring extensive use renewable sources. In this scenario, introduced Renewable Energy Communities, innovative systems based on a new model production, consumption and sharing, guaranteeing environmental, economic, social benefits. The objective paper is twofold: firstly, examine regulatory framework and, secondly, present standardized procedure implementation Community, an aspect not yet covered in scientific literature. roadmap includes four phases: feasibility study involving analysis end users' general assessment; aggregation members as producers, consumers or prosumers forming legal entity, considering different funding opportunities; operating phase, plant construction project validation national authorities; technical economic management phase. dynamic structure allows adjustments accommodate contexts, member typologies aim.

Positive Energy Districts may support the energy transition of urban city centres as well decarbonization other sectors in addition to buildings, such industry. In this framework, work aims at identifying optimal configuration systems serving a mixed-use district located industrial area South Italy. Evacuated tube collectors are installed along with renewable-based plants for electricity supply (that is, photovoltaic panels and wind turbines). Moreover, is equipped an electrolyser green hydrogen production. Two novel indicators have been introduced performing environmental assessment: Balance Check Carbon Neutrality Check. These indexes useful verify accomplishment targets Districts. Therefore, they serve guide design district-based renovation existing ones, case study investigated work. Indeed, under analysis provided surplus renewable thermal electric achieves carbon neutrality chosen. The results obtained highlight relevance designing multi-vector systems, aiming decarbonize both heating requests.

Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) are being deployed all around the World as a technically feasible solution to decreasing users' dependence on fossil fuels. Several demonstration facilities have shown their potential provide final consumers with clean energy and associated environmental benefits. However, economic evaluation of these systems whole set is more complex than evaluating generation technologies individually, which can be considered barrier, it may complicated calculate its uncertainty precision. This paper deals this challenge adapts model for global Levelized Cost Electricity (LCOE) polygeneration microgrid characteristics typical REC, allowing assessment distribution LCOE depending input parameters. Thanks simple analytical formulation, proposed model, that used any combination (both renewable conventional), provides relevant information propagation in symbolic way avoids need run numerical simulations or make assumptions random A case study has been presented, considering small electrical REC photovoltaic plants micro wind turbines. Although defined market, representative example, evaluated according current Spanish Italian regulations, analyzed depth reference scientific literature. Results show uncertainties parameter estimates give rise very large scatter LCOE, pointing out quantities whose role crucial reliable estimate, among electricity purchase selling prices, yearly power load, self-consumption / virtually-shared rates stand out.

The energy transition is driving the adoption of local renewable production. Decentralised plants enable citizens to play an active role in generating and managing supplies. In Europe, recent policies are promoting Renewable Energy Communities (RECs), which consist aggregations end-users aiming produce share energy, cost-effective supply chains autonomously. A comprehensive analysis REC potential requires tools that integrate socio-economic, environmental, spatial evaluations for assessment. objective this study present current status capabilities modelling. This paper reviews twelve modelling have evaluation RECs. review structure follows steps a assessment process, structured background, inputs, simulation or optimisation outputs. Technical, economic, environmental aspects projects should be included without leaving behind spatialisation geographical planning new systems. Findings reveal co-existence multiple criteria not satisfied any tools, as most them mainly analyse few areas interest partially consider other aspects. comparison reveals financial outputs deepened.
