This study utilizes the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method to investigate impact of electricity intensity (EINT), renewable energy in generation (ERE), and gross domestic product (GDP) on Malaysia's environmental quality, spanning from 1985 2020.The research employs carbon emissions (CO 2 emissions) ecological footprint (EF) as proxies for degradation. The results indicate a signi cant these variables both CO EF over long run.Notably, also identi es an inverted U-shaped relationship cases EF) between GDP degradation, thereby validating existence Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis. The ndings imply that while is associated with increased emissions, use (RE) sources may contribute emission reduction. But show reversal signs EF.By adopting fully modi ed ordinary least square (FMOLS) method, showed same results, thus, justifying cointegrating studied variables.Drawing outcomes, proposes policy recommendations foster sustainability economic growth, emphasizing need strategic interventions mix policies.

This research investigates the relationship between tourism, urbanization, renewable energy, and carbon (CO2) emissions in 77 countries 2008 2019. Specifically, by applying a quantile regression approach, this study delves into existence of an inverted N-shape curve connection tourism CO2 while also considering roles global economic activities, as indicated flows trade, foreign direct investment (FDI). The findings reveal correlation emissions, indicating decline at initial stage, rise sector matures, finally again CO2. underscores significance adopting energy sources controlling urbanization to mitigate emissions. show that control variables, i.e., GDP, FDI, impact differently. GDP positively significantly affects particularly noticeable lower quartiles. Likewise, FDI with more contribution from higher quartiles than Conversely, trade negatively impacts showing pronounced effect. contributes providing empirical evidence on importance sustainable practices integration, well potential improvement matures.
