The solar-assisted calcium looping process has gained more and interest in recent years. It allows both the capture of CO2 storage solar energy during sorbent regeneration, removing request auxiliary fuels for heat supply. effect carbonation or calcination temperatures on performance been widely studied but mainly based individual factors. This study investigated combined deactivation carrying capacity a (10 calcination‑carbonation cycles) directly irradiated fluidized bed, to obtain optimized operating with conceptual reference integration polyethylene terephthalate (PET) steam gasification. were 600–700 °C 800–900 °C, respectively, while inlet concentration was set at 10%v following previous results PET experimental showed that increasing promoted deactivation, temperature had negligible effect. Fitting parameters models obtained by varying performed well prediction, which broadens application these different temperatures. best condition maximal averaged degree 600 800 °C. However, considering hydrogen yield transfer gasification, second-best (carbonation 650 850 °C) would be preferable gasification process. optimization all combinations provided, so required can accordingly chosen also other processes looping.
