The deep integration of intelligent technology and the manufacturing industry is a crucial driving force for promoting green low-carbon development, which key strategy achieving sustainable development. Using panel data from 30 provinces in mainland China 2010 to 2022, this study measures level development total factor carbon emission performance (TFCEP). Additionally, mediating effect model constructed explore impact (IM) on (CEP) its underlying mechanisms. findings reveal that (1) intellectualization significantly enhances CEP, conclusion remains robust under various tests; (2) IM CEP varies by regional geographical locations, degree economic agglomeration (EA), whether province pilot area; (3) mechanism analysis indicates improves EA. Given world’s largest country emitter, analyzing provides valuable theoretical insights practical experiences other countries aiming achieve win–win situation environmental improvement.

Facility connectivity plays a pioneering role in the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping 2013. Xinjiang, as core area of Silk Economic bordering eight Eurasian countries, crucial cross-border transportation humanistic exchanges is focus national initiative. While current analysis on regional accessibility has become more diversified, analyses long-distance corridors are still relatively rare. Therefore, this paper takes Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) China main study extending westward to five Central Asian countries. Modified accounting methods gravity models used analyze status strength economic ties between The results showed that distance decay effect countries obvious; constraints “natural geography + economy” affect level from each state shows trend north weakness south. From optimization planning road network reverse projection, G3033 other highways construction Yi-A railroad will improve quo “east-west access but not north-south access” Xinjiang. “corridor effect” spatial polarization characteristics connection intensity significant. This important theoretical practical significance for corridors.

Densely populated countries have greater demand for agricultural output, vehicle usage, and busier traffic, so these devote more land to production invest in transportation infrastructure, resulting higher environmental emissions. Most studies literature assume that environment-related technologies directly diminish contamination, while this study suggests indirectly mitigate hazards through interactions with use, value addition, infrastructure. Thus, determines disclose the influence of added, infrastructure investment on ecological damage highest population density during period 1990-2022; sole moderating effect association proposed regressors CO2 Results illustrate use contribute significantly emissions, but only long term. However, agriculture addition strongly promotes contamination both short Furthermore, run, reversed U-designed EKC premise holds top five most populous countries. Environmental can be mitigated environmentally relevant when interacting Finally, (>-1.115) is estimated threshold level technologies, at which improve quality. Policymakers densely should prioritize adoption friendly achieve sustainability.
