Under the guidance of high-quality development goals, energy industry should not only pay attention to level but also coordination effect among multiple elements. In process low-carbon development, natural gas plays an important transitional role as a clean fossil energy. this study, by introducing theoretical perspective trilemma, comprehensive measurement system three-dimensional regional was constructed. Then, in order overcome limitation that is weakened due concentration function values, improved coupling model established based on redefined degree distribution function. Next, actual data from Beijing 2006 2022, safety–economy–environmental protection empirically analyzed, and multi-dimensional factors deeply investigated. The empirical results reveal following: (1) one largest consumption markets China, so economy its relatively high. However, safety environmental needed be improved. This mainly scarce resource endowment, dependence economic growth (2) showed fluctuating upward trend. best, because they coexisted promoted each other at policy level. high, supply security could provide support for market expansion stabilize price levels. Meanwhile, prosperous would stimulate exploration infrastructure extension. study will help plan solving trilemma.
