The emerging new energy industry has significantly increased the demand for iron phosphate and nickel-cobalt precursors in lithium-ion batteries. Using crude ferronickel derived from smelting of laterite ores to produce these enables efficient valorization Fe, Ni, Co. However, limited leaching efficiency necessitates strategies enhance its acid properties. This study proposes a synergistic approach using roasting atmosphere temperature activate water-quenched ferronickel. With increasing temperature, face-centered cubic (FCC) Ni-Fe phase transformed into body-centered (BCC) phase. When exceeded 800 °C, however, newly formed BCC reverted FCC N2 atmosphere. Carbon could be removed by CO2 atmosphere, thereby preventing reversion. After at °C 1 h under efficiencies Co, Fe were 92.88, 91.88, 89.20%, respectively, with unleached portion consisting cementite an unconverted Following 1000 corresponding 99.65, 99.37, 96.75%, achieving near-complete due elimination.

Climate change has presented significant challenges to Indonesia’s energy sector, increasing vulnerabilities in power generation, infrastructure resilience, and security. Rising sea levels, extreme weather events, temperatures disrupt systems, highlighting the urgent need build resilient systems. To support transition, this study addresses a critical gap by providing an integrated analysis of climate renewable policies, socio-economic environmental goals, emphasizing importance enabling policies financial mechanisms. The recommendations mentioned include capacity through solar geothermal projects, modernizing enhance adopting decentralized systems reduce dependency on centralized networks. Strengthened governance stakeholder collaboration are also essential for successful implementation policies. This underscores having comprehensive address change, promote sustainable development, help Indonesia achieve its targets long-term goal net-zero emissions.
