Demand Side Management (DSM) is a cost-effective approach to managing electricity networks, aimed at reducing capacity requirements and costs, increasing the penetration of renewable generation, power system emissions. This review article explores distinctive characteristics demand in industrial, commercial, residential sectors, their relationship successful implementation DSM. The constraints considerations for DSM are characterized as technical, economic, behavioral factors, such process requirements, business operation constraints, consumer decisions, respectively. By considering all three types factors impacts each sector, this contributes novel insights that can inform future industrial commercial sectors found be primarily constrained by technical considerations, while sector also subject economic constraints. Conversely, human behavior outcomes, highly variable, largest contributor peak demand. identifies sector-specific opportunities enhance uptake. Industrial uptake will benefit from technological improvements; enhanced incentivization; improved understanding interactions between behavior, energy use. Finally, investigates models concludes agent-based best suited integrating these into models, thereby driving DSM, particularly important sector.

Demand response programs encompass a range of externally control strategies designed to modify consumer end-use load according specific grid demands. In the current renewable integration context, power systems need implement such demand provide energy flexibility during stress periods. Nevertheless, extensive adoption initiatives in building sector is confronted by notable obstacles, mainly due absence standardized assessment methods and metrics, lack established regulatory frameworks, all which hinder formation competitive asset portfolios. Indeed, quantification frameworks are not unified usually based on objectives indicators. this framework, paper proposes methodology cluster residential buildings analytical their dynamic thermal response, regardless boundary conditions (i.e., weather data, occupancies, …) type event. The proposed provides quick simple how expected respond under different events durations, critical for both customers agents decide select involvement each event potentially design personalized building. An analysis was conducted evaluate 28 real buildings, whose data were presented previous study. Results potential effectiveness application purposes clustering. Moreover, it can be concluded that possible deduce inertia available classification exclusively geometric characteristics building; being necessary consider duration involvement, since they highly influence behavior, thus, corresponding
