The rapid growth of energy consumption in commercial building operations has hindered the pace carbon emission reduction sector China. This study used historical data to model emissions operations, LASSO regression was applied estimate results, and whale optimization algorithm optimize nonlinear parameter. key findings show following: (1) major driving forces from buildings China were found be population size intensity emissions, their elastic coefficients 0.6346 0.2487, respectively. (2) peak 1264.81 MtCO2, year estimated 2030. Overall, this analyzed levels prospective peaks China’s a new perspective. research results are helpful for governments decision makers formulate effective policies can also provide references low-carbon development other countries regions.
