This study delved into effects of electricity production renewable sources, GDP per capita, urbanization on forest area growth Finland during over-three-decade research period, 1990–2022, using an Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. Both ARDL bounds test Bayer–Hanck cointegration tests proved existence long-term cointegrating relationship between variables, constructed error correction model (ECM) evaluated short-term relationships. The results showed that: (i) positively connected with sources urbanization; (ii) negatively growth; (iii) short run, all regressors. utilized ARDL-ECM model, characterized by its robustness appropriateness, validated time-series dynamics. obtained were scrutinized, their policy implications thoroughly examined.
