To study the shear performance of horizontal joints ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) prefabricated walls with vertical bars splicing by cold-extrusion sleeves, unidirectional loading tests for three samples have been conducted and a method to calculate bearing capacity joint has proposed. The influence reinforcement ratio axial compression on failure mode, cracking morphology, load-displacement curve, analyzed in tests. In addition, process simulated using finite element method. results showed good agreement between test numerical results, which certified validity proposed calculation joint. that cold extrusion sleeve connection can effectively transmit stress reinforcement, UHPC wall be enhanced increasing ratios.

Precast systems are increasingly favored in modern construction to meet the growing demands for faster project delivery, cost control, and enhanced quality assurance. Yet, feasibility of connections between precast elements remains a crucial factor affecting overall structural performance these systems. Considering versatility dimensional consistency steel sections, this study introduces an emulative column-to-column hybrid connection achieved by using welding-spliced tubes, with view improving assembly efficiency on-site control. Reversed cyclic loading tests were conducted on five near full-scale column specimens assess seismic proposed connection. Results indicated that method could provide comparable traditional cast-in-place counterpart. Nevertheless, anchorage longitudinal rebars played critical role, as inadequate anchorages led significant reductions columns’ lateral capacity. For reason, increasing tube thickness was shown be insufficient substitute proper detailing. Moreover, it found incorporation welded tubes shifted plastic hinge region upward, resulting more extended damage zone—a consequence localized stiffening effect. Finally, existing equations methods employed evaluate strength, load-displacement response, length tested specimens.
