Pistachio shell powder (PS) immobilized zerovalent iron and copper (ZVI@PS ZVC@PS) were investigated for the tetracycline (TCH) removal via sulfate radical based advanced oxidation process (S-AOP's). Eco-efficient ZVI@PS ZVC@PS nanocomposite prepared by one-pot redox precipitation method characterized using FTIR, XRD, SEM, BET, TGA/DTA, XPS techniques. The EDX, TGA, AAS analysis techniques confirmed loading of 44% Fe 40% Cu (w/w %) onto pistachio biomass in nanocomposites, respectively. This report comprehensively discusses effect various contributing factors TCH processes such as catalytic dosage, initial pH, PMS dosage concentrations, etc. Besides that, role reactive oxygen species (SO4.−, .OH, O2.−, 1O2) degradation was scavenging experiments. A three-way synergistic approach established between adsorption efficiencies powder, heterogeneous ZVI or ZVC mediated Fenton-process enhanced activation process, observed degradations. rate constant (kobs.) values ZVI@PS-PMS (0.34 min−1) ZVC@PS-PMS (0.16 suggests that more efficient compared to ZVC@PS.
