Fully harnessing the digital economy to encourage clean transition of household cooking fuel is essential for improving environmental conditions and enhancing human health. To this end, we developed a theoretical framework examine how influences choices empirically investigated these relationships using panel data from China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) spanning 2014–2020. The results show that accelerates transition, particularly in adoption electricity. These conclusions remain consistent after addressing endogeneity conducting robustness tests. Furthermore, promotional effect exhibits certain heterogeneities, notably more prominent among female heads, as well urban northern regions. Mechanism analysis reveals promoting force primarily driven by increased income, expanded social networks, heightened awareness. findings offer empirical backing utilizing facilitate guide policymakers designing targeted interventions consider regional diversity.

ABSTRACT Renewable energy is one of the key factors in mitigating climate change and achieving sustainable development. With digital technology at its core, economy has gradually become a new driving force for renewable However, few studies have examined impact on from global perspective explored transmission mechanisms. Based cross‐country data 68 countries (regions) 2013 to 2021, this paper adopts panel model study impacts energy. The results show that (1) positive energy; (2) asymmetric heterogeneous; (3) development obvious threshold characteristics; (4) indirectly affects through technological innovation financial research provides theoretical basis promoting reference guidance realize context economy.
