Acknowledging the substantial economic, social, and environmental impacts of sustainability circular economy (CE) practices, their imperative role in automotive industry cannot be overstated. Despite this significance, there is a lack studies addressing these critical themes within sector. This paper aims to bridge gap by providing an examination barriers hindering adoption CE principles, with specific focus on Brazilian industry. A survey, involving 41 experts comprising 21 academics specializing CE, 16 experienced managers, 4 directors expertise, was conducted. The study identified evaluated 12 sector based experts’ assessment using Fuzzy TOPSIS. study's findings underscore scarcity professionals sufficient knowledge expertise), absence supportive public policies, inadequate commitment from leadership as top three priority barriers. research recommends targeted actions for companies, policymakers, universities collaboratively contribute towards overcoming fostering sustainable trajectory

With a view to maintaining the competitiveness required by market, automotive industry strongly encourages its suppliers develop new production methods and technologies capable of reducing costs produced products, ensuring necessary quality, increasing flexibility, with responding more easily customization products that market increasingly demands. The main goal this work was increase flexibility productivity equipment producing first subset constitutes product commonly known as Bowden cable. To end, design science research methodology used, which understood most effective in describing scientific related improvement existing systems. cables are activate various devices car, such opening doors, moving window glasses, adjusting some car seats, among others. consisted integrating several operations usually carried out for manufacture referred subset, logistics manual work, operator safety, rate equipment, setup time. For purpose, mechanical concepts were developed, automation applied, resulted completely concept, able fulfill all objectives initially set. It should be noted here allowed 1140 p/h, when initial objective 1100 p/h; it requires an investment only around EUR 55,000 (easy return on investment), occupies 11.6 m2, has reinforced safety systems avoid workers’ injuries, aspect is very important type where operators deal cutting high temperatures. dissemination concept could help other researchers find solutions certain problems they face development modern equipment. contributions paper novel created overcome process difficulties, can used wide range processing situations similar difficulties. proposed allow decrease cycle time, present save workshop space, affordable terms global cost.
