Abstract Recently, the transition to circular economy has become environmentally and economically urgent for every single nation in world. Closing loops of material is one key ideas behind foundation a (CE). The informal recyclable stations (IRSs) within solid waste management (SWM) system play an important role as reversed logistic system, being charge collecting trading waste. This study aimed comprehend spatial nature IRSs Danang city, Hue Hoi An city representative sites whole central Vietnam nation. integration geographic information (GIS), remote sensing, statistical learning was performed clarify characteristics dynamics well combat status limitations available data developing countries. Results denoted that distributed close proximity transportation systems residential areas with low vegetation coverage. Coverage ratios did not strongly fluctuate case number decreased by 80% regarding 3500 m distance covered. Negative binomial regression proved be most congruent model understanding prevalence Vietnam. Population normalized difference index were statistically related IRS. While linear depicted balance between variance bias, support vector machine would applied if prioritized aim performance. results this are scientific base IRS into formal SWM CE.

This research determines the potential impact of reducing food waste on future energy consumption and pollutant emissions. The study uses system dynamics modelling to simulate complex link between population, demand, output their interactions with in carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) Scenarios are developed by considering two elements: a reduction an increase output. Based case Delhi, demand expected rise 6% 35% every year, respectively, from 2023 2033. model predicts that 20% waste, combined efficiency, could reduce CO emissions 23.17% combination scenario proved be most efficient consumption. significant highlights integrated management strategies mitigating environmental impact.

Waste is one of the major urban challenges faced globally today, and severity challenge further exacerbated by rapid urbanisation, growing populations increasing per capita waste generation. As largest agglomerations in world, Delhi collects 11,352 t every day. Without adequate segregation, most this sent to dumpsites waste-to-energy plants, often associated with significant capital costs environmental externalities. This paper conducts a life cycle assessment current management system comparative analysis suggested alternative scenario, where share recyclables compostables going landfills plants reduced through segregation. Our results revealed that are adverse impacts such as climate change, soil water acidification, freshwater eutrophication, human toxicity, respiratory health. In comparison, compost showed negligible emissions tonne waste. The scenario (i.e. reduce landfill segregation) can help negative impact on all indicators an average 23 %. We posit prevailing narrative addressing issue goes against country's neutrality targets. Instead, circular economy approach offers simpler, faster, more cost-effective solutions policymakers should consider financial load future issue.

This chapter examines how integrated waste management systems are being developed in rural Himachal Pradesh with an emphasis on eco-friendly tourism. It deals the growing problems associated disposing of rubbish well-liked but ecologically delicate tourist locations. The offers a comprehensive strategy that incorporates reduction, segregation, recycling, and community involvement by evaluating current techniques finding shortcomings. Case studies from significant areas shed light projects have been effective emphasize role stakeholders local government play promoting sustainable practices. results highlight need for unified framework policies proactive order to attain long-term sustainability. implementation systems, concludes, not only improves overall tourism experience also mitigates environmental impacts, positioning as model
