Screening and breeding more resistant heat stress restorer lines represent an effective approach to addressing the decline in hybrid rice seed production caused by (HS). However, molecular mechanisms affecting differences resistance of anthers under HS remain unclear. This study compared gene expression patterns two with differing resistances discusses response rice. Under stress, 247 DEGs were co-expressed across varieties involved biological processes such as protein processing carbon metabolism, shock proteins being most ubiquitous. Interestingly, a substantial enrichment genes related non-structural carbohydrates ATP was observed among unique R996 R4628. Simultaneously, contents levels young spikes significantly higher than those suggests that starch, soluble sugars play significant roles tolerance during flowering stage Overall, this provides novel insights into underlying indica informs future strategies for genetic improvement these varieties.

Rice is one of China’s primary staple crops, serving as the main food source for over 60% population. With resolution basic security issues in China recent years, demand high-quality rice has been steadily increasing. The taste quality rice, a crucial indicator evaluating quality, attracted more attention from consumers. Although factors like variety, growing environment, and cultivation methods affect underlying mechanisms remain unknown, no reliable control exist. This study selected 10 major cultivars, including 6 indica 4 japonica varieties, compared their differences focusing on yield its components, dry matter accumulation. Among tested Songxiangjing 1018 had best but not highest yield. Zhongzheyou 8, Huazheyou 261, Quanyousimiao showed both excellent high There was significant correlation between yield, suggesting feasibility breeding varieties with superior productivity. Correlation analysis indicated that mass net photosynthetic rate were significantly positively correlated highlighting complexity formation. Using membership function comprehensive evaluation method (combines outputs multiple functions into single composite value using specific rules (e.g., weighted average, extremum, logical operations) to produce new degree.), variety selection system balancing constructed, three (Zhongzheyou Quanyousimiao) identified having quality. results this can provide theoretical basis research techniques aimed at synergistically improving
