Fabrication of the heterojunction composites photocatalyst has attained much attention for solar energy conversion due to their high optimization reduction-oxidation potential as a result effective separation photogenerated electrons-holes pairs. In this review, background photocatalysis, mechanism and several researches on heterostructure graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) semiconductor are discussed. The advantages g-C3N4 over precursors also conclusion future perspectives emerging research direction given. This paper gives useful knowledge photocatalytic mechanisms applications. Nano-based photocatalysts is expected enlighten scientists precise management evaluating environment, which may merit prospect into developing suitable energy, wastewater treatment environmental purification.
