The development of high-efficiency, recyclable, and inexpensive photocatalysts for water splitting hydrogen production is great significance to the application solar energy. Herein, a series graphene-decorated polyoxoniobate Nb6/PPy-RGO (Nb6 = K7HNb6O19, RGO reduced graphene oxide, PPy polypyrrole), with bridging effect polypyrrole were prepared through simple one-step solvothermal method, which first example polyoxoniobate-graphene-based nanocomposites. as-fabricated photocatalyst showed photocatalytic H2 evolution activity without any co-catalyst. rate 1038 µmol g−1 in 5 h under optimal condition almost 43 times higher than that pure K7HNb6O19·13H2O. influencing factors simulated sunlight studied detail feasible mechanism presented this paper. These results demonstrate Nb6O19 acts as main catalyst electron donor, provides active sites, acted an electronic bridge extend lifetime photo-generated carriers, are crucial production.
