Abstract Researchers are focused on the global issue of plastic contamination in agricultural soils because known effects plastics soil ecosystem. Previous reviews did not pay attention to sources, standardized extraction methods, characterization, and abundance soils. This study aims review up-to-the-minute knowledge about studies, suggest best method for microplastic propose future research areas. The published from January 2018 March 2022 was reviewed this article. Studies focusing microplastics other than were considered present review. data acquired several databases, namely Web Science Google Scholar. keywords used search these databases "microplastics AND soils" "macroplastics soils". Other literature sources obtained reference lists downloaded articles, pieces that directly dealt with macroplastic relevant journals books. Overall, 120 literature, including 102 original 13 five books, selected, reviewed, synthesized.
