Lead-zinc (Pb-Zn) tailings pose a significant environmental threat due to heavy metal (HM) contamination. However, an advanced understanding of the changing characteristics HMs and evolution microbial community during revegetation process remain limited. This study investigated spatial distribution role soil communities three-year in production Pb-Zn tailings. Field sampling laboratory analysis revealed distinct enrichment patterns representative HMs, including Cr, Mn, Pb, Zn, within Prolonged stockpiling exacerbated Pb contamination, resulting increased concentrations (from 10.11 g/kg 11.53 g/kg) long-term weathering area. efforts effectively mitigated leading reduction levels (a 9.81 g/kg). Colloids of natural river water is a key intermediate carrier lead (Pb). It important to monitor the transport–transformation behavior Pb in colloidal phase seaward because this related levels pollution input and environmental risks posed sea, especially coastal delta areas. In study, fractionation distribution toxic from truly dissolved different phases seven rivers Yellow River Delta were investigated.
