ABSTRACTDue to the widespread use of tetracyclines antibiotics (TCs) in livestock breeding, TCs has always caused soil pollution. cannot only enter and water bodies through multiple channels but also accumulate them over a long period. It is more abundant soils, agricultural land. Primarily, should explore efficient methods for removing or degrading TCs. Herein, a ball-milled composite mineral derived from shell powder and phosphate rock (BSPR) was innovatively coupled with smooth vetch (SV) planting to remediate Cd-polluted soil. The results showed that BSPR SV could reduce the bioavailability of Cd in soil by 68.1%, which 2.2 3.4 times those (31.1%) (20.0%) alone, respectively. outstanding passivation performance confirmed be due synergistic effect SV. Specifically, employment not only increased biomass but also promoted its decomposition, directly led conversion into more humic acid (HA). Under action HA, calcium phosphorus were released combined form stable compounds (e.g., Cd3(PO4)2, Cd5(PO4)3Cl, CdnCa5–n(PO4)3OH). Amazingly, excellent synergetic on improvement, content pepper fruit decreased 38.2% (6.3 SV), fresh weight Ca enhanced 28.2% 43.4% (6.7 22.8 SV, respectively). Overall, this study provided novel strategy, i.e., green manure mineral, for simultaneous remediation Cd-contaminated farmland enhancement pepper's yield quality, thus achieving "killing three birds one stone".
