Bisphenol A analogs (BPA analogs) are emerging contaminants with a rising production caused by the replacement of BPA these compounds. The increased is leading to an release into various ecosystems, including sea. aim this study was evaluate biological effects on primary producer, diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum Bohlin. Three different (BPAF, BPF, and BPS) their mixture were tested at environmental relevant concentration 300 ng/L. Growth curve, cell size several biomarkers oxidative stress damage measured. Our results indicated that compounds alteration growth induced altering many antioxidant enzymes. However, no damages observed.

Plastic and plasticizer pollution has been a concern worldwide over the past decade. Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) is most produced detected in coastal marine ecosystems. This study aimed to assess toxicity of acute exposure (24, 48, 72, 96 h) DEHP concentrations (0.045–6.00 mg·L−1) on estuarine tropical species from distinct trophic levels. The lethality sublethal responses were assessed two microorganisms three invertebrates, independently. microorganisms—the microalga Tetraselmis sp. microbial consortium MP001—showed high tolerance density-rising tendency during DEHP. Among mortality brine shrimp Artemia amphipod Apohyale media rose with increasing concentrations. However, A. was more sensitive across time since its reached 100% almost all 72 h. dark false mussel Mytilopsis leucophaeata tolerant invertebrate: no significant (≤20%) observed exclusively h at intermediate–high M. presented that seem be good endpoints for ecotoxicological assays. These results reinforce evidence contamination risks ecosystems, as well suggest candidate biodegradation.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a high-production-volume industrial chemical and component of commonly used plastic products. However, it also an endocrine-disrupting that can negatively affect human health. It not yet known whether associated with the development epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), severe highly fatal disease. Therefore, purpose this study was to determine concentrations BPA in urine women EOC or borderline tumors (EBOTs) using gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) find their possible associations kidney function at molecular level, blood biochemical parameters related metabolism, anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) (a marker reserve/fertility), lifestyle habits determined via questionnaire comparison healthy controls. The results suggest unadjusted urine-specific-gravity-adjusted levels were significantly increased EOC/EBOT. positively urinary creatinine (p = 0.007) all EOC/EBOT after adjustment for age, body index, pregnancy multiple linear regression analysis. This may be injury. no association found between serum AMH women. Women malignancies more exposed products storing foods drinks. Some habits, including refilling bottles, correlate higher across entire cohort When considering EBOT, necessary consider potential exposure BPA, as reflected habits.
