The uptake, translocation, and accumulation of mefentrifluconazole (MFZ), an innovative chiral triazole fungicide, in plants at the enantiomeric level are still unclear. Herein, we investigated patterns mechanisms bioaccumulation, translocation through several experiments. Rac-MFZ shows strongest uptake bioaccumulation capacity wheat compared with its enantiomers, while S-(+)-MFZ has highest potential. Molecular docking provided evidence stronger ability than R-(-)-MFZ. Split-root experiments showed that MFZ enantiomers could undergo long-distance transport within wheat. Active or facilitated simple diffusion may be involved MFZ. limited acropetal capability attributed to dominant pathway apoplastic. concentrations different subcellular fractions varied greatly. In summary, this study provides novel insights for further understanding behaviors plants.

Herbicide contamination in aquatic systems has become a global concern due to their long- term persistence, accumulation and health risks humans. Paraquat, widely used cost-effective nonselective herbicide, is frequently applied agricultural fields for pest control. Consequently, the removal of paraquat from contaminated water crucial. This research presents sustainable environmentally benign method aqueous system by integrating wetland plants (Eichhornia crassipes) with biochar derived melamine-modified palm kernel shells. The prepared was characterized using various analytical techniques. effectiveness enhancing phytoremediation evaluated through series experiments, showing significant efficiencies 99.7, 98.3, 82.8% at different concentrations 50, 100, 150 mg L−1, respectively. Additionally, present study examined impact on growth E. crassipes, highlighting its potential reduce toxic effects even higher concentrations. mechanism elucidated, focusing synergistic role adsorption capability crassipes. innovative approach an effective, feasible, eco-friendly technique that can contribute development advanced affordable remediation processes widespread application.

A high amount of nutrients can be found in urban wastewater (UW), which makes it difficult to treat. The purpose this research was evaluate the potential aquatic macrophytes Eichhornia crassipes, Pistia stratiotes, and Salvinia molesta treatment UW. To each macrophyte, phytoremediation bioassays were established; hydraulic retention time for bioassay 15 days. physicochemical analysis water samples considered pH, turbidity, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), oxygen (DO), chemical demand (COD), carbon (TC), phosphates (PO43-P), nitrate (NO3-N), nitrogen (TN). plant, bioconcentration factors (BCFs) translocation (TFs) NO3-N PO43-P evaluated. Likewise, relative growth rates (RGRs) chlorophyll production measured. results showed that highest efficiency achieved with E. removal values 69.7%, 68.8%, 58.7%, 69.4%, 56.3%, 40.9% COD, TOC, PO43-P, NO3-N, TN, respectively. that, BCF, value 4.88 mg/g TF, 6.17 S. molesta. measurement RGR crassipes an increase 0.00024 gg−1d−1 4.5%, On other hand, suffered decreases content RGR.
