In this study, we designed a molecularly imprinted polymers-dispersive solid-phase extraction-high-performance liquid chromatography (MIPs-DSPE-HPLC) method, as simple and efficient platform for the sensitive detection of two sulfonamide antibiotics (SAs) sulfamethoxine (SMM) sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) in environmental water samples. Using SMM SMZ templates, methacrylic acid functional monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate crosslinking agent, azodiisobutyronitrile catalyst, dual-template polymers (dt-MIPs) were successfully synthesized via surface imprinting technology multi-template strategy. The adsorption properties prepared MIPs characterized, capacities towards 27.35 mg/g 30.92 mg/g, respectively. limits method three samples range 0.23–1.74 μg/L, recoveries between 82.7 110.3%, with relative standard deviations less than 5.93%. construction process MIPs-DSPE-HPLC is straightforward, exhibits high sensitivity selectivity, thus provides versatile quantification SAs complex matrices.

Chlorinated coumarins, which are as cytotoxic highly toxic halobenzoquinones toward CHO-K1 cells, have recently been identified disinfection byproducts in drinking water processes. Therefore, detecting coumarins samples collected at various stages from treatment plants helps assess the formation of chlorinated water. Hence, a simple, rapid, accurate, and sensitive method for quantifying is required. In this study, was developed based on solid-phase extraction coupled with high performance liquid chromatography-triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry analyzing seven plants, including 6,7-dihydroxycoumarin, 7-hydroxycoumarin, 6-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin, 8-chloro-7-hydroxycoumarin, coumarin, 7-chloro-6-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin, 3,8-dichloro-7-hydroxycoumarin. Sample pretreatment involved using HLB columns, followed by elution methanol, each containing 0.25% formic acid. The extracted solution separated via gradient Phenomenex Luna C18 column (100 mm×2.0 mm, 3 mm) 0.1% acid aqueous methanol mobile phases, analytes detected triple-quadrupole equipped electrospray ionization source multiple reaction monitoring mode. matrix effect, precision, accuracy were investigated raw treated matrices. Matrix effects 0.84-1.12 recorded detection coumarin water, while values 0.67-0.70 3,8-dichloro-7-hydroxycoumarin finished three exhibited above 0.80 after had diluted four times. These results suggest that only simple or sample dilution required to accurately determine plants. addition, these good linear relationships their respective concentrations. precision evaluated linearities certain range, correlation coefficients (r) greater than 0.99 limits (MDLs) 0.67-1.12 ng/L. recoveries 61.4%-91.5% spiked levels (20, 50, 100 ng/L) relative standard deviations (RSDs, n=6)≤11.2%. can be used analyze drinking-water plant. 7-Hydroxycoumarin, 0.21-27.9 ng/L 100% samples, 6-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin not post-coagulated post-carbon-filtered but found sand-filtered higher latter (4.69 former (1.79 ng/L). 8-Chloro-7-hydroxycoumarin (0.07 This precise provides short analysis times, effectively monitor real removal during treatment.
