The pollution caused by plastic mulch film in agriculture has garnered significant attention. To safeguard the ecosystem from detrimental effects of pollution, it is imperative to investigate use biodegradable materials for manufacturing agricultural film. Biochar emerged as a feasible substance production (BDM), providing soil benefits. Although biochar been widely applied BDM manufacturing, effect biochar-filled on carbon stock after its degradation not well documented. This study provides an overview current stage incorporated with and summarizes possible pathway contribution. application biochar-incorporated can lead substantial changes microbial diversity, thereby influencing emissions greenhouse gases. These alterations may ultimately yield unforeseen repercussions cycles. However, light knowledge vacuum potential challenges, additional necessary ascertain if effectively mitigate issues residual microplastic contamination land. Significant progress remains before fully supplant traditional production.
