Due to COVID-19 countermeasures, air quality temporarily improved in several countries around the world, especially urban areas. This study investigates predominantly changes concentration levels of pollutants (PM10 and PM2.5) Republic Slovenia during year 2020, which was marked by lockdowns. In this study, data for 2020 were divided into four periods, i.e. period before (1 January–11 March 2020), first lockdown (12 March–31 May after June–17 October second (18 October–31 December 2020). The obtained from 25 ground-based nationwide stations, subdivided further traffic background sites. For comparison, 2018 2019 evaluated as well. Our findings indicate that restrictions had a moderate indirect impact on PM10 PM2.5 concentrations, more evident at monitoring sites near locations. results additionally supported providing t- F- statistical tests. meteorological conditions (wind speed, temperature, relative humidity, precipitation) also studied. show that, most significant decrease PM compared found lockdown, while precipitation not significantly different between years time.
