Nickel vanadium oxide (NiV 2O6) nanoparticles were effectively synthesized using hydrothermal technique by changing the surfactants. The variation in properties of NiV 2O6 based on surfactants like cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), polyethylene glycol (PEG) and Tio-glycolic acid (T-GA) was studied reported. Methylene blue (MB) dye utilized to investigate photocatalytic activity nickel generated under presence CTAB as surfactant. materials showed more than 80% degradation methylene 150 min. A putative process has been postulated this paper. Nanoparticles shown have high stability, according findings. Based radical trapping experimental observations conducted with different scavengers such 2-proponol, benzoquinone EDTA, major role played OH− reported detail.
