The Yangtze River Basin experiences frequent extreme heatwaves and prolonged droughts, resulting in a tight supply demand balance of electricity negatively impacting socioeconomic production. Meanwhile, ongoing inter-basin water diversion projects are planned that will divert approximately 25.263 billion cubic meters from the annually, which may further affect power region. In this study, CLHMS-LSTM model, land-surface hydrological model coupled with long short-term memory (LSTM)-based reservoir operation simulation is used to investigate impact diversions on generation mainstream reservoirs under drought conditions. Two different schemes adopted namely minimum deficit scheme (Scheme 1) construction cost 2). results show land surface–hydrological was able well characterize characteristics mainstem, daily scale determination coefficient greater than 0.85. Bacteria play a crucial role in pollutant degradation, biogeochemical cycling, and energy flow within river ecosystems. However, the underlying mechanisms governing bacterial community assembly their response to environmental factors at seasonal scales subtropical rivers remain poorly understood. In this study, we conducted 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing on water samples from Liuxi River investigate composition, processes, co-occurrence relationships of communities during wet season dry season. The results demonstrated that differences hydrochemistry significantly influenced composition communities. A more heterogeneous structure increased alpha diversity were observed Water temperature emerged as primary driver for changes Dispersal limitation predominantly governed assembly, however, season, its contribution due decreased immigration rates. Co-occurrence network analysis reveals mutualism played prevailing shaping structure. Compared exhibited higher modularity, competition, keystone species resulting stable Although displayed distinct variations, Proteobacteria Actinobacteria consistently abundant maintaining both seasons. Our findings provide insights into how respond changes, uncovering rivers, which are effective management conservation riverine

The South-to-North Water Diversion East Project (SNWDP-E) is an effective way to realize the optimal allocation of water resources in China. North Dasha River (NDR) reverse recharge section that receives from Yufu Wohushan Reservoir transfer project line SNWDP. However, dissolved organic matter (DOM) evolution mechanism seasonal projects on tributary waters has not been fully elucidated. In this paper, NDR main object, and changes composition distribution spectral characteristics during winter period (WT) as well summer non-water (NWT) are investigated by parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC). results showed connectivity caused reduces environmental heterogeneity basin, evidenced ammonia nitrogen (NH 4 + -N) total phosphorus (TP) body were significantly lower (p<0.05, p<0.01) than period. addition, fluorescence intensity DOM was WT NWT (p<0.05) mainly composed humic substances generated endogenous sources with high stability. While disturbed anthropogenic activities leading significant differences different functional areas. Based redundancy (RDA) multiple regression analysis, it found protein-like components dominated chemical oxygen demand (COD) NH -N factors WT. (TN) TP for humic-like components. This study helps elucidate impact trunk basin contribute regulation management inter-basin projects.
