In recent decades, the textile industry has contributed to continuous pollution in environment. Synthetic dyes which are commonly found waste water azo, sulfur, anthraquinone, triphenylmethyl, indigoid, and phthalocyanine derivatives. These pollutants block light penetration bodies prevent photosynthesis activity, thereby affecting aquatic life. As an environmental crisis, several technologies have been explored control pollution. Among all techniques, photocatalysis process is considered as a green, simple, economical process. To improve photocatalytic researchers worldwide investigated various photocatalysts such metal oxides, ferrites, heterostructured nanocomposites. The major goal of this review article propose high-performing, cost-effective hybrid photocatalyst reported date for prospective azo dye pollutant remediation.
