Parthenium hysterophorus is a prime noxious weed across the world and resorting its nativity to Tropical North South America which has invaded more than 50 countries throughout world. It was accidentally introduced in India with food-grains imported from Mexico. plant contains chemicals, like parthenin, hysterin, hymenin, ambrosin, due presence of these exerts strong allelopathic effects on different crops. Parthenin been reported as germination inhibitor well radical growth variety dicot monocot plants. Because competitiveness for soil moisture, space nutrients crops allergenic properties, it poses serious threat cereal livestock. difficult control because wider adaptation diverse climatic conditions. The aim this research article explore effect environmental factors germination, shoot root length hysterophorus. light periods, temperature, pH, osmotic potential salt stress parthenium studied found that maximum at 16 h (57%), 25°C (81%), pH 7 (98%), 0 MPa (85%) mM NaCl (84%), respectively same trend followed length. Therefore, understanding behavior will help formulating better management practices same.
