The application of organic manure is an effective way to develop sustainable agriculture. However, the may be associated with a potential risk heavy metal pollution for soil and crops. In this study, effects cow (T1) (as base fertilizer), pig (T2) fertilizer) chemical fertilizer (T3) on winter wheat grain yields, quality, concentrations bioconcentration factors (BCFs) in soil–wheat system were studied from November 2021 June 2023. results showed that yields T1 T2 treatments lower than those T3 treatment by 2.57–38.0% 10.5–25%, respectively. There no significant differences quality indexes among different treatments. metals topsoil 0.12–76.11 μg/g 0.01–43.25 μg/g, BCFs mental was 0–2.92. general, there metals’ summary, compared fertilizer, short-term manures had effect wheat.

This research evaluates the development of microbiomes in primary soils, forming various mining dumps arid terrain Republic Bashkortostan, Russia. A metagenomic analysis communities was performed by sequencing extended gene sequences. The evaluation agro-chemical properties accordance with conventional pedology methods. Inverse voltammetry used to measure heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, zinc, copper, and nickel) arsenic content. In all samples studied, Actinobacteria Proteobacteria phylas dominated, and, smaller numbers, Acidobacteria Bacteroidetes were present. natural samples, proportion higher, proportions lower than from anthropogenically disrupted soils. Verrucomicrobia bacteria Thaumarchaeota archaea not found soils Kulyurtau Tubinsky quarries, although other there a significant content representatives these types. Soil formation observed at mines, self-restoration period more 30 years. microbial similar species richness background alpha diversity showed high level dispersion, beta had different clustering, but absence phyla both sites indicates underdevelopment new compared background. Agrochemical indicators dependence on type growing vegetation degree anthropogenic load, correlation composition traced poorly.

Heavy metal pollution in soils, especially mineral aggregation areas, presents significant sustainability challenges affecting ecosystem health and human well-being. This study conducted source apportionment risk analysis of soil heavy metals Datian County, South China, to promote sustainable land use mitigation. We collected 103 surface samples (0–20 cm) from a typical area analyzed the concentration distributions using geostatistical methods. The geoaccumulation index (Igeo) potential ecological (RI) were employed evaluate levels risks. Our findings reveal that concentrations substantially exceeded Fujian Province’s background values, with Cd exhibiting severe levels. Cd, Pb, Cu pose moderate high Major sources include smelting enterprises, parent materials, mixed extraction traffic pollution, atmospheric deposition, agricultural pollution. Their contribution rates found be 15.66%, 17.72%, 38.32%, 8.25%, 20.05%, respectively. Utilizing principal component (PCA) positive matrix factorization (PMF) models integrated methods, this provides robust identification highlights practices for management. results offer scientific basis developing strategies mitigate enhance environmental region.
