Chirality plays a crucial role in the design and efficacy of insecticides, significantly influencing their biological activity, selectivity, environmental impact. Recent advancements chiral insecticides have focused on enhancing effectiveness, reducing toxicity to nontarget organisms, improving sustainability. This review provides comprehensive overview current state knowledge including neonicotinoids, isoxazolines, sulfiliminyls. We discuss stereochemistry, synthetic development, mode action, fate these compounds. Diaphorina citri is a serious citrus pest. Dinotefuran highly insecticidal against D. citri. To analyze the sublethal effects of dinotefuran on adults, an indoor toxicity test was performed, which revealed that lethal concentration 50 (LC50) values were 4.23 and 0.50 μg/mL for 24 48 h treatments, respectively. RNA-Seq led to identification 71 231 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) after treatments with LC20 LC50 doses, Many DEGs are significantly enriched in apoptosis pathway. Dinotefuran-induced gut cells confirmed through independent assays 4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) staining.
