The study investigated the leaching and biodegradation of dissolved organic carbon in leaf leachates from typical fresh leaves Wuhan Urban Forest Park, Central China. leaf-leached quality biodegradability, as well their potential determinants, were examined for 12 major tree species, including deciduous trees shrubs. A 28-day indoor incubation was conducted at two temperature conditions 20 °C 30 °C. Sampling within planned time frame experimental measurements, a first-order kinetic model degradation fitted. utilization fir predominant species cuckoo primary shrubs provided advantages increasing sequestration capacity urban forests. There no significant difference rate solution different temperatures, but k value different. At °C, positively correlated with electrical conductivity total nitrogen, while it negatively humification index ratio to nitrogen. showed positive correlation phosphorus index, nitrogen phosphorus.
