The development of a green and environmentally friendly photocatalytic multifunctional coating in the field architectural coatings is crucial. Abstract The scarcity of fresh air, drinking water, and soil is a matter serious concern worldwide owing to the presence organic pollutants in environment. dye, such as methylene blue (MB) have enormous toxic effects on environment human health. Therefore, degradation non-biodegradable dyes very important reduce toxicity water and-a step towards waste management systems. This paper focuses MB dye using carbon quantum dots (CQDs). CQDs were synthesized by microwave irradiation method citric acid L-cysteine precursor confirmed X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Raman Spectrum, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) Energy Dispersive x-ray (EDX) spectroscopy techniques. optical properties 2.56 nm, investigated UV-visible technique absorption peak appeared at 340 nm which corresponding n → π * transition. In photoluminescence (PL) spectra analysis, highest emission was obtained 440 when excited 345 nm. used for distilled percentage calculated found be 99.17% 90 min under UV light irradiation. Also, studied impact degraded seed germination Cicer arietinum (black gramme) growth rate 15%–20% more than containing water.
