Identifying pollution sources and measuring their impact is essential for protecting groundwater. Groundwater in the Guanzhong region were identified using positive matrix decomposition (PMF) model, contributions quantified. Nitrate is among the most widely occurring contaminants in groundwater on a global scale, posing serious threat to drinking water supplies.
