Long-term monoculture of Lycium barbarum significantly affects its productivity and soil health. Soil microbiota, which mediate the sustainable development ecosystems, are influenced by age wolfberry plants. However, comprehensive effects long-term cultivation L. on microbial community not yet fully understood. Here, we assessed stand diversity, composition, assembly, symbiotic networks bacterial fungal communities in root zone using high-throughput sequencing technology. The results showed that affected α-diversity communities, as evidenced tendency their Shannon Chao1 indices to increase then decrease. At same time, structure was tree age. Proteobacteria (28.77%–32.81%) always most dominant phylum, Ascomycetes (49.72%–55.82%) phylum. A number genus-level biomarkers were also identified soils associated with roots trees varying ages. Additionally, stochastic processes dominated assembly whereas balance between deterministic fluctuated complexity stability notably age, particularly from 10- 15-year-old trees. partial least squares path modeling (PLS-PM) analysis emphasized can indirectly regulate diversity network both influencing physicochemical properties. Furthermore, community, but exhibited direct strong regulation complexity. study offers valuable data for improving quality fruit yield under continuous cropping, has implications industry.
