Abstract Under global warming and climate change, the vulnerable piece of land is India’s Eastern Himalayan region (EHR), where millions’ livelihood activities are at risk. Quantifying degree change-induced vulnerability over highly climate-sensitive mountain zone challenging because inadequacy meteorological data. Therefore, what alternative should mitigate scientific data for mitigation adaptation policy to change in EHR? The study's main objective assess perception kiwifruit growers under EHR impact on its cultivation. Perceived were used accurate decision-support information creation. Descriptive statistics trend analysis analyzed Study shows that indigenous mountain/farming communities following shifting cultivation diversifying their traditional agriculture (apple cultivation) Kiwifruit as an option change. They have a clear patterns trends relatively inadequate agriculture. It can be concluded using perceived map scenarios unique approach avoid inadequacy. study has revealed indigenous/mountain people clearly perceive engaging other stakeholders postulate comprehensive strategy befitting strategy. may appropriate depicting elsewhere. results will help make strategies Himalayan, plane regions.
