Employing decoloniality lens, this paper examined colonial influences inherent African responses while also exploring role of IKS uMkhanyakude District Municipality (UKDM). We have seen that during vaccine unavailability, social distancing, rigorous contact tracing, and case isolation are found to be most effective strategies contain outbreak.
