The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted global energy markets and caused significant socio-economic impacts worldwide, including the sector due to lockdowns restricted economic activity. This paper presents a comprehensive analytical review of impact on explores potential role artificial intelligence (AI) in mitigating its effects. examines changes demand patterns during pre-, mid-, post-pandemic periods, analyzing their implications for industries, policymaking, communication, digital technology, conversion, environment, markets, power systems. Additionally, we explore how AI can enhance efficiency, optimize use, reduce wastage. developing sustainable systems is discussed, along with challenges it poses sector’s response pandemic. recommendations applications transition more future, examples drawn from previous successful studies, are outlined. Information corroborated this expected provide important guidelines crafting future research areas directions preparing any unforeseen circumstances or pandemic-like situations.

Abstract The pre‐insertion resistors (PIR) within high‐voltage circuit breakers are critical components and warm up by generating Joule heat when an electric current flows through them. Elevated temperature can lead to temporary closure failure and, in severe cases, the rupture of PIR. To accurately predict PIR, this study combines finite element simulation techniques with Support Vector Regression (SVR) optimized Improved Whale Optimization Algorithm (IWOA) approach. IWOA includes Tent mapping, a convergence factor based on sigmoid function, Ornstein–Uhlenbeck variation strategy. IWOA‐SVR model is compared SSA‐SVR WOA‐SVR. results reveal that prediction accuracies were 90.2% 81.5% (above 100°C) ± 3°C deviation range 96.3% 93.4% 4°C range, surpassing performance comparative models. This research demonstrates method proposed realize online monitoring which effectively prevent thermal faults PIR provide basis for opening closing breaker short period.

Coronavirus disease has caused city blockades, making people spend longer in residential areas than ever before. Human well-being and health are directly affected by the suppression of epidemic through planning design. In this regard, scholars from all over world have made significant efforts to explore links between COVID-19 design, trying adjust states time cope with effects long run. This study is based on Bibliometrix conduct a scientometric analysis literature “Effects design (ECRPD)” published Web Science Scopus 2019 October 2022. The aim comprehensively present scientific knowledge ECRPD research general characteristics’ analysis, citation horizontal conceptual structure try summarize how responds COVID-19, so as provide support advice for urban planners, builders, policy makers. According results, growing significantly, productivity it increased exponentially. main feedback characterized three aspects: environment, building space space, traffic community management. Generally, expanded beyond disciplines architecture planning. Environmental energy concerns attracted most attention, though practical into relatively limited. To fully deal COVID-19’s multiple negative facets, imperative promote cross-disciplinary multi-field collaboration, implement new technologies methods traditional disciplines, develop bioclimatic buildings environmental changes, strengthen ensure that sustainable resilient living environment created post-pandemic era.

Growing electricity demand shoots the challenge of maintaining a supply-demand balance, especially during peak hours. Failure this stimulates system's stability problems and may lead to blackout. This raised need for new power generation installations associated with huge costs. Instead, Demand-side Management (DSM) techniques were adopted balance existing infrastructure sustainable energy supply. They motivate optimal, reliable efficient ways utilisation. paper presents an overview DSM its subcategories, benefits potential challenges in implementation focus on residential sector. also highlights rebound peaks caused by Demand Response renewable resources at consumer premises better load management. Moreover, DR can be best implemented emerging networking communication technologies, such as Internet Things, Artificial Intelligence Blockchain. Hence their future scope importance under smart grid paradigm.
