Abstract Autonomous shipping is introduced to increase the competitiveness of inland and promote a modal shift toward sustainable transport. This innovation has potential disrupt existing industry paradigm. paper identifies characteristics autonomous through lens diffusion theory. A systematic literature review, based on PRISMA 2020 guidelines methodology, was conducted. The aligns well with theory reveals most variables relevant actors. result indicates that this topic limited but still developing, presents opportunities for agendas in business, innovation, transportation research. Further discussion shows implications, using generalized transport cost model stakeholder analysis emphasize motivations adoption shipping.

This study examines the steps to lower air emissions in South Korea’s domestic shipping sector. It highlights significant contributions of sector pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, emphasizing its impact on environmental sustainability climate change mitigation. By looking at current energy use research identifies ways reduce shipping. Data was collected from ferry routes fuel reviewed with respect existing global technologies for reducing emissions. The results show that operational changes energy-efficient can quickly cut Furthermore, a long-term plan is suggested, involving development new ship designs net-zero fuels like biofuels, methanol, hydrogen ammonia. These efforts aim meet goals, targeting 40% reduction by 2030 70% 2050, making industry more sustainable resilient.
