The development of heterogeneous catalysts is one the pillars modern material science. Among all supports, carbonaceous ones are most popular due to their high surface area, limited cost, and tunable properties. Nevertheless, materials such as carbon black produced from oil-derived sources lacking in sustainability. Pyrolytic biomass, known biochar, could represent a valid solution combine sustainability performance supported catalysts. Abstract As a major by‐product of biodiesel production, glycerol offers significant economic potential when effectively utilized.
