Wind energy, which generates zero emissions, is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional electricity generation. For this reason, wind energy a very popular topic, and there are many studies on subject. Previous have often focused onshore or offshore installations, lacking comprehensive comparisons not accounting for technological advancements their impact cost efficiency. This study addresses these gaps by comparing turbines worldwide in terms of installed capacity, levelized (LCOE), total (TIC), capacity factor (CF), turbine hub height, rotor diameter. Results show that power constituted 98.49% 2010, 97.23% 2015, 92.9% 2022 the world’s cumulative capacity. Offshore has increased yearly due advantages like stronger, more stable winds easier installation large components. LCOE farms decreased from 0.1021 USD/kWh 2010 0.0331 2021, while 0.1879 0.0752 2021. By 2050, will contribute 35% global production. overcomes previous limitations providing updated comparison incorporates recent market trends better inform future policies investments.
