Pump as turbine (PAT) is an efficient, simple, and cost-effective equipment combining pump one of the excellent energy recovery devices. It helpful to master flow characteristics key component impeller for further optimization design PAT. To analyze unsteady features in a double-suction operating turbine, numerical simulations were conducted using shear stress transport (SST) k-ω turbulence model at designed conditions.
