This study investigates the spatiotemporal patterns of land development intensity and green economy at district county level in nine cities within Pearl River Delta (PRD). A comprehensive evaluation framework is developed using a coupling coordination degree model panel vector autoregression (PVAR) to explore spatial temporal evolution their relationship. The research reveals several key findings. (1) In 2013–2023, followed pattern “concentration east south, sparsity west north”, highlighting significant regional imbalances. (2) high-intensity areas tended cluster together, forming high-value zones, while low-intensity were often located next similarly underdeveloped regions, reflecting “low-value connection” trend. (3) There long-term stable co-integration relationship between development. fills gap scale offers practical insights for optimizing growth strategies fostering economic across different 2013–2023. These findings contribute design balanced sustainable policies PRD, addressing both environmental sustainability.

Three decades after the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, world continues to grapple with intertwined challenges of environmental degradation and pursuit inclusive, sustainable economic growth. This study investigates three key aspects green growth: First, it examines whether global growth is converging or diverging across regions. Second, explores fundamental drivers regional differences growth, focusing on trade openness, CO2 emissions, transition renewable energy. Finally, delves into complex, nonlinear relationships between development sustainability. Using innovative methodologies such as PS club clustering log-t regression analysis, analyzes production-based productivity data from 134 countries spanning 1995 2022. Contrary conventional assumptions, results reveal significant divergence suggesting that different regions are experiencing varied levels success integrating goals. These findings highlight need for region-specific policies, emphasizing tailored strategies promote development. Policymakers should prioritize fostering accelerating energy transition, implementing stricter regulations, while also encouraging international collaboration bridge gap advanced developing economies.

Achieving sustainable models is a crucial challenge today, where government actions play fundamental role. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the impact of fiscal decentralization on CO2 emissions in 40 economies between 2000 and 2020. To end, an unbalanced panel was constructed, Method Moments Quantile Regression (MMQR) employed. As robustness check, Driscoll Kraay’s standard errors approach used. The MMQR results indicate that has positive significant effect across all quantiles emissions. Additionally, it found revenue-side greater lower emissions, while expenditure-side stronger upper quantiles. findings also reveal renewable energy mitigates whereas economic growth, resource rents, information communication technologies increase them, although latter with statistical significance. These are expected serve as basis for public policy formulation aimed at improving environmental quality.
