The construction industry is responsible for high energetic consumption, especially associated with buildings’ heating and cooling needs. This issue has attracted the attention of scientific community, governments authorities from all over world, in European Union, motivated by recent international conflicts which forced countries to rethink their energy policies. In phase change materials (PCM) have become an area interest development, since they allow buildings, solar energy, due thermal storage capacity. main objective this work consists a perspective evolution development application technology through incorporation PCM sector, focusing last 10 years research, showing most developments its materials, mortars, concrete, porous aggregates, naturally carbon-based boards, blocks systems.
