Electric Vehicles (EVs) release no tailpipe emissions, making them a cleaner and more environment friendly alternative to common internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. With the advancement of EV technologies, lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology has emerged as most prominent electro-chemical in terms high specific energy power. The Li-ion pack is made up cells that are connected series parallel meet voltage power requirements system. Due manufacturing irregularity different operating conditions, each serially cell may get unequal or state charge (SoC). Without proper balancing, serious safety risks such over-charging deep discharging occur. Considering significant contribution balancing management system (BMS), this study provides detailed overview methods classification based on handling method (active passive balancing), active circuits control variables. DC-DC converter (used redistribute among pack) key component its conversion efficiency affects overall performance EVs. Therefore, types converter-based provided paper. In particular, paper compares four (isolated/non-isolated) including Duty cycle (bypassed) circuit time during both charging operation. This review also covers modeling, SoC estimation optimization BMS application. highlight characteristics, advantages disadvantages, future challenges, opportunities for advancing electric mobility. Finally, challenges associated potential area improvement recommendation embrace knowledge development high-performance EV.

The intensive exploitation and usage of fossil fuels has led to serious environmental consequences, including soil, water, air pollution climate changes, it compromised the natural resources available for future generations. In this context, identifying new energy storage technologies can be considered a sustainable solution these problems, with potential long-term effects. work, were analyzed different alternatives that suitable replacing non-renewable sources, where hydrogen, wave, wind, or solar energies considered. Although they have numerous advantages in terms substantially reducing impact, paper is focused on lithium-ion batteries, whose high performance safety during operation made them attractive wide range applications. study replacement technical requirements main materials used starting point footprint, without affecting capabilities, followed by transition toward economic circularity neutrality.

ABSTRACT In this paper, the optimal operation and arbitrage strategies for user‐side energy storage systems are studied considering an accurate battery model to capture charging discharging features. Meanwhile, proposed method uses Benders decomposition help solve consequential decision‐making problems of in electricity market with dynamic price signal continuous iteration cycling counting life costs. Empirical analysis simulation based on different scenarios Chinese provisional markets demonstrate variability such realistic applications, which mainly depends trade‐off between physical features pricing scheme. The main findings results confirm advantages involving system resources that can participate deregulated market, ultimately benefiting end‐users at distribution level, as well upper‐level or operation. It is believed further study a more precise cost also contribute improving reasonable mechanism design.
