Abstract This work presents a facile approach for controlling the optical and electrical parameters of biopolymeric matrix optoelectronics. Vanadium oxide (V 2 O 5 ) chromium (Cr 3 nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared incorporated into carboxymethylcellulose/polyethylene glycol (CMC/PEG) blend by simple chemical techniques. Transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) data showed that V Cr exhibited spherical shapes with sizes in range 40–50 nm 10–20 nm, respectively. In addition, blend's degree crystallinity was sensitive to doping ratios. The scanning (FE-SEM) elemental analysis (EDAX) used study filler distribution inside blend, confirmed existence both matrix. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy dopants significantly affected reactive (C–O–C, OH, C=O) groups. stress–strain curves illustrated reinforcing effect up 1.0 $$\text{wt\%}$$ wt\% /V. transmittance absorption index spectra visible-IR wavelengths decreased increasing content. Utilizing Tauc's relation (optical) dielectric loss, direct (indirect) band gap narrowed from 5.6 (4.5) eV 4.7 (3.05) at All films have an refraction 1.93–2.17. AC conductivity improved content temperature. energy density 50 °C is 1–3 J/m . influence on conductivity, constant, modulus CMC/PEG reported. These enhancements properties, along potential engineering, offer promising prospects advanced applications optoelectronics energy-related fields.

ABSTRACT This work reports the influence of bio‐derived silver (Ag) nanoparticles insertion on properties polyvinyl alcohol/carboxymethyl cellulose (PVA/CMC) polymer blend prepared by solution casting method. X‐ray diffraction studies reveal dispersion into matrices. Thermal DSC and TGA indicate increased thermal stability due to addition nanoparticles. Three different steps weight loss shown dTGA curves water adsorbed, elimination side chains, decomposition main chain. The maximum degradation pure sample occurred at a peak temperature around 252°C with 65% degradation, whereas doped samples 322°C 26% which evidences sample. UV–visible spectral analysis shows decrease in both direct indirect band gap values increasing dopant concentration host, is an indication formation complexes between filler. antifungal PVA/CMC/Ag films are evaluated against four distinct fungus strains. findings that activity index amount Ag filled in. According study, doping PVA/CMC increases its antimicrobial efficacy. Since these nanocomposites have electrical conductivity properties, they may be suggested for future investigation biomedical applications, including wound dressing infection prevention.
