Purpose This study aims to review recent advancements in solar energy generation and identify future research trends, with a focus on integrating storage systems enhance the reliability efficiency of power. Design/methodology/approach involved conducting 313 articles published between 2014 2024 Scopus database. The applied bibliometric analysis techniques, which are bibliographic coupling co-occurrence analysis, examine trends generation. Findings highlights field contributions through coupling, indicating that PV is most environmentally sustainable renewable source, systems, particularly hydrogen, critical for stability. In addition, avenue optimizing green hydrogen production hybrid while exploring innovative financing models grid stability facilitate transition. Research limitations/implications recognizes some limitations such as relying solely database, subjective interpretations themes challenge distinguishing self-citations from external ones, can give misleading impression publication’s influence. Originality/value focuses how be integrated Although there has been extensive energy, this specific intersection largely overlooked. By using highlight developments directions area, ultimately providing valuable insights help shape both academic practical policy decisions.
