Abstract Zero-carbon buildings (ZCBs) are a key means to cope with extreme weather caused by greenhouse gases and realize sustainable development in the building sector. Based on necessity urgency of ZCBs, this paper explores prospects ZCBs China, taking into account current state research ZCB design, materials, operation maintenance, intelligent systems, order implement concept “dual-carbon” development.
